Collection: Cutting Board

Our cutting boards and serving pieces are custom works of art by the entire family. When they are gone, they are gone until the next round can be crafted. 

The wood has been carefully sourced and curated over the years, from coast to coast, by Jessica's husband, Shane. Next, it is handed over to Martha's husband, Paul, to turn into stunning boards, letting the grain and shape dictate his designs. Finally, they make their way to Jessica to take Martha's art and burn it into the boards, finishing with a food grade board sealer. 

No two boards are the same. And each board takes between 5-10 hours to see, sculpt, plane, sand, sand again, burn and seal. 

We have created a rough guide for sizing expectations: 

Mini: perfect for slicing small things like apples, cheese and other snacks. Rough measurements: 6" x 12"

Prep: perfect for prepping your meals - chop peppers, herbs and grilled chicken all at the same time. Rough measurements: 10" x 12"

Charcuterie: long and lean - the perfect display piece for your snacks, sure to impress. Rough measurements: 6" x 18" 

Mixed Grain: different species joined together in a stunning piece. Perfect for all of the above and more. Dimensions vary by piece.

Drain Board: a thick slab of wood cut with a drain board around the edge to catch juices. Perfect for carving meat or tomatoes and beautiful enough for the center of the table. Dimensions vary by piece.

Care instructions: our cutting boards are made by hand and treated with a food safe oil. We recommend washing by hand and not soaking. If a dishwasher or long time submersion happens, use a food safe oil to re-moisturize (just like lotion on your skin).
